Crittercism Raises $12 Million In Funding

Real-Time Mobile App Performance Management Leader Introduces New Mobile Operations Solution that Reports Performance of Entire App Experience, Including Network Latency and Third-Party Cloud Services

San Francisco, CA – March 12, 2013— Crittercism, a pioneer in Mobile Performance Management
that helps leading brands excel in the mobile app economy, today announced it has raised $12 million in
Series B funding in a round led by existing investor Google Ventures with Wesley Chan, general partner
at Google Ventures, joining the board. Shasta Ventures and Opus Capital, also both existing investors,
participated. The company also announced a new service that will, for the first time, report back on the
performance of outside cloud services and network conditions as they relate to the performance of their
Android, iOS, Windows Phone 8, and HTML5 apps, ensuring that companies and brands deliver highly
reliable, top-performing apps to market.

Crittercism’s announcement comes on the heels of a record year for its best-in-class Error Monitoring
product that supports leading mobile platforms and powers performance improvements for mobile apps
on more than 450 million unique devices.

“We’re excited to bring together some of the most talented investors and advisors in technology to
support our mission of building a comprehensive mobile performance management solution,” said
Andrew Levy, co-founder and CEO of Crittercism. “For many of the biggest brands in the world,
mobile apps have become their most important channel for communicating with customers to increase
engagement and drive brand loyalty. Across all industries, organizations with sound mobile strategy
have recognized the critical role of mobile performance management to success, and we’re proud to be
partnering with them.”

Companies today are increasingly turning to mobile not only as a powerful way to engage customers, but
also to offer employee-facing access to line of business or financial data. In both cases, mobile teams are
learning they can’t manage mobile apps with traditional web technologies.

Crittercism’s team of mobile experts were first to realize this and have developed a robust mobile-first
solution that gives app developers a real-time view into the performance of their apps in the wild. The new
service is designed to monitor network conditions as they relate to app performance specifically on mobile
devices. Crittercism can now report in real-time when cloud services like payments or location services
are underperforming or failing so that issues can be quickly remedied.
